First, let me apologize for how long it took me to get to this review. It took me awhile to get around to using the Lunette Cup due to getting my IUD, and some other issues. Anyways, I’m ready to let you know all about it!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with menstrual cups, they are small cups, usually made of silicone, that are inserted into the vaginal canal to catch menstrual blood. They are great options for a lot of reasons. They are chemical free, (unlike disposable tampons and pads which are full of nasty toxins), meaning that switching to them often helps ease irratation and cramping associated with chemicals typically found in menstrual products. Since they are reusable, it also can save a lot of money and a lot of waste from hitting the landfill. This is great news for your body, bank account, and the environment!
You use the Lunette Cup the same way as any other menstrual cup. Luckily, their website has a ton of great information on insertion, removal, folding and cleaning. As with other cups, the Lunette sits just inside the vaginal opening (see diagram above). It is comfortable, and when inserted properly cannot be felt. The cup should be emptied 2-4 times per day (so every 4-12 hours depending on your flow). When taking it out, simply break the seal, dump in the toilet, rinse the cup out, and insert again. To disinfect your cup, boil it in water for a couple of minutes.
What is the difference between this cup and others I have reviewed? Well, the Lunette Cup is definitely smaller than my DivaCup. The material also feels a lot less firm. In my opinion, the Lunette Cup seems like a much better option for those who are new to cups and want something a little less intimidating. Since it is smaller, it can also be easier to turn to make the seal. However, the Lunette does not hold as much as the Diva, so if you have a heavy flow you might want to either size up or choose another brand.
The sizing for the two brands is also different, and I must admit I much prefer Lunettes system. Instead of just a pre and post birth size, there are a lot of factors taken into account. Model one is for “[people] with light to moderate flow, younger women or women who have never had intercourse”, and Model two is best for, “ [people] who have a normal or heavier flow.” I absolutely love that the smaller shape of the Lunette gives a much more comfortable and less overwhelming option for younger people who may not have even had intercourse yet. This opens up a whole new world for teens looking to try something new. Bigger menstrual cups just seem much more intimidating than the Model 1 Lunette.
The Lunette Cup also comes in a lot of different colors (see above), which again makes them so much less intimidating. You can get your cup in blue, pink, green, or clear. Options are always awesome, not to mention fairly unique when it comes to menstrual cups.
Unfortunately, this specific brand is a little more difficult to find in stores. You can check the list of retailers here, but your best option is to buy them through Lunettes website.
Now on to the giveaway! Since I will be very busy next two weeks (Senior Week! Graduating! TSCA Reform stuff!), I am going to give everyone a little longer than usual to enter. Yes, we all saw the episode descriptions. Korra suspects someone, who I agree will be Asami, is an equalist. But who gives out the secret in an episode description? The twists in Avatar like Zuko betraying his father, or Jet being brainwashed or whatever are closely guarded so that they shock…

Hey guys! Sorry its been so inactive around here. I’m slowly but surely getting finished with my finals.
Anyway, I found this and thought I had to share. The way body language can tell how a person is really feeling is something that I consider very interesting. I think it would be a great way to show, in a subtle way, how a character is really feeing.
Hope its useful! And good luck with finals! Hopefully, this place will be a bit more active once summer kicks in.
THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME

Me everyday when Jess tries to love on me.
In Germany, police fired 85 bullets in all of 2011.
In the U.S., police fired 90 shots at one unarmed man in Los Angeles.
Not to mention, they hit him only like 10 times. Spray and pray as always, LAPD.
The Norwegian police has fired 79 shots since 1994.
